New Feature: Additional Access in DeskDirector

February 2, 2017

With the release of our latest server version (Admin Console 17.4.1) we are happy to annouce our new feature: Additional Access.

Additional Access allows a contact to have access to another company or another contact's tickets.

This was born out of a recurring issue we saw where companies with multiple locations were set up as individual companies, so the same user had to have multiple log ins to oversee tickets from the multiple sites.

With additional access, the user now just needs to have this set up properly and no longer has to worry about managing multiple log ins with the same email address. Additional access overrides All Tickets permission, so you will have to plan accordingly if you want the contact to also access tickets in their own company.

In order to see how to set this up, please look at our article in our knowledge base here.
