Branson I.T. Will Save Us From Mass Extinction

Published on: | Updated on:

Warwick Eade from DeskDirector is very much looking forward to presenting at the HTG Vision Summit on Thursday. His presentation is called “Branson I.T. will save us from mass extinction”. He has been thinking a lot about where Managed Services is heading and, of course, the part that DeskDirector will play in that future.

Here is his video recorded for the HTG Summit

Servers are going to the cloud, customers want to look after their own personal devices and Telcos are pushing cookie-cutter managed services hard. This is all eating away at our old business.

But there is new business to be had. Our customers, the people who pay the bills, want to be rock stars when they use I.T. and our new job is to make that happen. This business is higher level, more profitable and fun. These are services built around people rather than infrastructure. (Obligatory Apple reference goes here :)

I think the next few years, to borrow from Dickens, will be “the best of times and the worst of times”.

There’s going to be a lot of change that’s going to lead to a lot of opportunity.

Big Kudos to HTG for bringing us all together so we can be ready for the opportunity.
