Deep linking | New in DeskDirector 13.1

Published on: | Updated on:

We have been very busy at DeskDirector getting our 13.1 release ready and, with a few weeks to release, we can start talking about the new features.

One of the new features we are most excited about is deep linking.

When the DeskDirector update installs it will register a URI scheme - DDCLIENT://

This will allow you to embed hyper links in email, web pages and documents that drive the user directly to the tickets, learning, invoices and recomendations you want them to see.

For example, if you create the link DDCLIENT://Mytickets and your customers can click on that link and DeskDirector will open up at the MyTickets screen

If you send out DDCLIENT://ticketid=319389 and your customers can click on that link then they will be sent to the 319389 ticket.

This will make it much easier for customers to start using DeskDirector and drive customer adoption
