What is XaaS?
XaaS stands for “Everything-as-a-Service” or “Anything-as-a-Service,” and is a general term that refers to delivering anything as a service. XaaS encompasses many cloud-based services, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). It seeks to eliminate these distinctions and focus more on how all services can be offered over the internet.
Why Does it Matter?
As businesses complete their digital transformations, their need for cloud-based solutions has increased. XaaS is the answer to delivering a convenient, scalable cloud business model that meets the demand for cloud-based apps and services. As of now, there is no way to fully implement the XaaS model. It’s an ideal benchmark and strategy for leading global cloud companies such as Microsoft and Google.
